Looking at some BBC titles and opening , i realized that we challenged the conventions of BBC opening titles as our film does not have still shots and pictures but is a mixture of shots showing only two characters not more then that .We break the convention as we only introduce 2 characters at the start of the film instead of introducing all the characters as it is usually done in most of the opening titles.Except for that , we do not show the movie name in the start , as it was shown in the case of Survivors and other BBC movies but we do not show the titles at all as we noticed by looking at 'Inception' that it is possible for a movie not to show titles.
The location we have used , challenges the conventions of BBC dramas as we have used two different locations which are two different bedrooms, and in BBC drama openings bedroom is not usually the location. The setting of the location according to me is appropriate and is what was required to give a casual and a bedroom feeling. The first location is Hammads room which has very less furniture as compared to Karrars room which has expensive furniture. Karrars bed room has decorations and cushions etc whereas Hammads room only has necessary furniture. Our location is restricted till a bedroom and we do not have shots of the character in the washroom, kitchen and the house entrance so we break the convention of morning routine.
There was no unnecessary furniture , as there is very less furniture in BBC films , which develops the convention.

Our film had two boys and both of them were in their rooms so they were dressed up in normal night suits and then dresses up for the job. The props we used were not any umbrella or anything as they had in the BBC costume drama TESS but limited to night suits and the clothes they wear after they dress up. To show the status difference between the two characters we show Hammad in normal clothes while Karrar in a branded good quality shirt. Hammad wakes up using a normal alarm clock while Karrar has two cellphones with him.
The camera work of my film develop the conventions and forms of the real films except for the shortage if technology we had as compared to the technology BBC productions use.. We used the camera either hand held or on a tripod ,as we did not have the dolly the BBC film's cameramen had .
The editing of our film challenge the forms as our movie is slow paced as compared to their movies. We show both boys getting ready at the same time , using the split screen which is not common in BBC films. We have not added colour effects , which some how develops the convention and the use of sound effects further develops the convection. The background music at the start of our film is slow paced soft melody which converts into fast rock music as the character changes, this music shift is not common in BBC film opening thus challenging the convention.
Mostly in movies with two characters, one character who plays the role of a victim while the other is the villain. While in my film , none of the character is at fault but they both have different natures. One is immature while the other is very responsible and organised. The characters in my film challenge convention as there are only 2 main characters in my movie and they do not necessarily meet in the opening of the movie. Which develops the convention as in opening titles mostly the characters are introduced in the start if the film so audience can figure out the relationship between them. Mostly in Films having two characters, the characters are of the opposite gender who end up loving each other but in my film both of them are male which again breaks the convention. I have also stereotyped my characters as the one who is involved in sports and other co-curricular activities is also shown good in studies where as usually this does not happen.
